We are a small, family-owned Maine Coon Cattery registered with TICA and CFA, located in Brooklyn NY. Our cats undergo all required health and genetic testing, including HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy), SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy), PKDef (Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency), FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus), and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). We provide a one year health guarantee for genetic diseases for all our kittens.
Our sweet and beautiful Maine Coons are raised with love and care, with a strong focus on health, temperament, and breed type. Quality is more important to us than quantity, which is why we maintain a small breeding program with a limited number of litters each year.
Every pairing at TeslaCat is carefully planned based on health, genetics, temperament, breed type, and compatibility of bloodlines. Health is always our first priority, followed closely by temperament.
We believe the show ring is an important part of evaluating our breeding cats.
A champion somewhere in a pedigree is not the same as a champion standing in your breeding program. Our breeding cats are champions themselves and are actively shown in CFA and TICA, where they are evaluated by judges against the Maine Coon breed standard.
The show ring also allows us to evaluate confidence, adaptability, and stable temperament in new environments qualities we value in our breeding program.
Our goal is simple: strong health, excellent breed type, and the temperament of a wonderful family companion.
Our relationship with our families doesn’t end when a kitten goes home. We carefully choose each home and value staying connected with our families as their kittens grow.
Our prices range from $3,000 to $4,000 per kitten, depending on gender, type, color, and other factors.
We primarily focus on breeding the full range of silver Maine Coon colors, which have become a signature of the TeslaCat breeding program. Among them is one of the rarest jewels — Silver Shaded in black, red, and blue.
Creating this beautiful “snowy” look requires several genetic factors to come together, with the inhibitor gene (silver gene) playing a key role. In a Silver Shaded Maine Coon, the hair appears light from the root with color concentrated at the tip, creating the soft, luminous silver appearance that gives the coat its distinctive snowy look.
